Good close to home hike on a cloudy day.
With two cars and approx 20 min drive from home and between THs - the idea was to do a 'traverse' from Harper road via Dennett Lake to Quarry road.
Parking at Quarry road TH looked 'busy' to me (about 7 cars) but parking at Harper Road easily beat it with lots of cars parked along the road.
Good thing about starting at Harper - there are so many options to choose so you pick a new route every time. Just if you picked mountain bike path - make sure you are visible and pay attention to what is above you or behind a rock or tree.
We left VLT at 'Dennett Lake. Very Wet' sign. I was expecting the worse but even after the recent rain trail was easy enough to handle, despite it being a bit overgrown. You'd need pole (or a stick) to hop over some really muddy and wet parts, but nothing was too bad.
Dennett lake was nice and calm surrounded by fall's colours.
I explored a marked trail along lake's shore (and later going up towards Burke ridge) - looks like a good trail to consider for future explorations.
Descend towards Munro lake and down to Quarry road was steep - as expected.
Only saw two other people at the end, descending from Munro lake.
No signs of bears or their activities - I guess they are all went down fishing after eating up all the berries up there.
